WHY IS THERE AN ODOUR AND WHAT CAN I DO TO AVOID IT?
Changing pads frequently is going to be an easy way to get around any fears of smells. Menstrual blood gives out an odour when it comes in contact with air. So you can generally avoid vaginal smell during your period by changing your pads often (at least every 4 hours) and more frequently if your flow is intense. If the pads are changed often and good hygiene is maintained, there should be no foul odour. Besides that, please note that Stayfree® has a line of pads with active odour neutralisers which helps prevent odour for a fresh and confident feeling.
Knowledge is the best way to overcome any problems caused by your period.
It’s normal to have some yeast in your vagina, but sometimes the balance is lost and yeast overgrowth occurs.
