How do I use STAYFREE® pads?
STAYFREE® pads are convenient and easy to use. Each has a sticky strip that attaches to your underwear and is individually wrapped for hygienic reasons. All you have to do is pull the adhesive tab to open the wrapper and unfold the pad inside. Try to avoid letting the pad touch any surfaces in the bathroom as it is important that it remains free from harmful bacteria.
Using clean hands, peel the pad out of the wrapper and place it, sticky-side down, in the cotton-lined crotch of your underwear. If your pad has wings, peel back the small strips of paper on top to reveal the sticky tabs and wrap each wing around the sides of your underwear. This will ensure you have adequate coverage from leaks in between your legs.
To stay fresh and dry all day, you should change your pad every four hours or so. On days when your menstrual flow is particularly heavy, you may find that you need to change it more frequently (every two to three hours).
Can I use STAYFREE® pads when my menstrual flow is heavy?
The STAYFREE® range includes pads to suit all types of periods, whether light, regular or heavy.
There are two main types of STAYFREE® pads for you to choose from – Ultra Thin pads, which are 2mm thick and Standard pads, which are 7 mm thick. Despite being different thicknesses, both absorb the same amount of liquid and have an anti-leak core, which transforms liquid into a gel. Plus they have channels on the surface so there are no runaway leaks. They also have a special cover, which is designed to help you stay dry and make you feel more comfortable.
STAYFREE® pads come in light, regular and super absorbencies. Super absorbencies are slightly bigger and they absorb more fluid, meaning they are best for heavy flows at the beginning of your period. Light absorbencies are slightly smaller and absorb a bit less, so you may find they are best during the last few days of your period.

Will I feel 'wet' using STAYFREE® pads or do they totally absorb the fluids?
STAYFREE® pads feature an anti-leak core and unique fast lock pockets to absorb fluid fast and lock it away, leaving you feeling completely clean and dry.
For maximum dryness, use STAYFREE® DRY-MAX® pads, which are specially designed to rapidly draw fluid in and lock it away.
The best way to maintain that clean and dry feeling is to change your pad every four hours and consider changing it more frequently on days when your flow is particularly heavy.

Can I use STAYFREE® pads when I have a heavy discharge?
STAYFREE® pads can be used to absorb any type of vaginal fluid, including discharge. However, it is important to note that a heavy discharge can be a sign of a more serious problem, such as an infection. You should consult a doctor, particularly if the discharge has an unusual colour, unpleasant odour or is associated with pain or irritation when urinating.
For lighter discharge in between periods, consider using CAREFREE® panty liners, which are thinner and more breathable than pads, making them ideal for everyday use.

Can I use STAYFREE® pads if I am incontinent?
Currently, there is no STAYFREE® range designed for incontinence.
STAYFREE® pads have been developed to provide enhanced absorbency, dryness and freshness against light bladder weakness. However, they are not suitable for containing excessive amounts of urine or faecal matter.
Those who have severe incontinence or lack the ability to control urinary urges are advised to consult a doctor who will be able to advise them on more specialised products.

Which STAYFREE® pad do I use for light versus heavy flow and where can I find the information about this on-pack?
STAYFREE® pads come in a variety of sizes and absorbencies to suit your body type and match how heavy or light your period is.
For a light flow, STAYFREE® Ultra Thin light are usually best. They have an advanced anti-leak core and unique fast-lock pockets that absorb fluid and lock it away to leave you feeling dry and protected. For a medium flow, try STAYFREE® pads (Ultra Thin or Standard) in Regular absorbency.
When your flow is heavy, chose STAYFREE® pads (Ultra Thins or standard) with Super absorbency, which are designed to absorb more fluid than a regular pad.
Each pack of STAYFREE® pads has a simple selection guide printed on top (along the easy-tear perforation), where you can find information that will help you determine which STAYFREE® product is right for you.

Is there any chance my menstrual flow will leak outside my pad even though it has 'wings'?
STAYFREE® pads with wings are designed to securely hold the pad in place to provide you with added protection. However, in the event of an extra heavy flow, you should check your pad often and change it frequently to avoid any chance of leakage.
Is there a particular pad I should wear at night?
STAYFREE® All Nights pads feature a bigger and wider absorbency area at the back of the pad for maximum protection while you sleep.
